Description
Acrylic on board – painting by Christina Bonnett
The architectural stature of this huge weed makes me want leave it to grow when I can.
At times I feel that hogweed qualifies as a garden plant, but beware of allowing it in the wrong place!
Care should be taken when handling as chemicals in the sap can cause burns. Best to wear gloves and educate children. Unfortunately instances of children getting burned after playing with common hogweed are not uncommon. The poison getts stronger as the Summer progresses an stong sunlight intenstifies it,
The Spectacular Giant Hogweed is even more toxic than its smaller relative.
This is available as a high quality Giclée Print on Archival paper.
